I study narratives, stories, and discourses as they relate to conflict transformation.
I am currently researching the following as sites of narrative transformation:
Music (incl. punk rock, folk, folk rock)
Literary craft (e.g., craft essays)
Worldbuilding (both as literary technique and conflict transformation practice)
My ongoing projects include the following:
“Building Muslim and Non-Muslim Songworlds in the Post-9/11 Era” (dissertation, in progress)
“Imagining Democracy’s Future: The Speculative Democracy Workshops” (with Thomas Flores, working paper, in progress)
